Progressive, Gothic, Ethereal, Electronic
Welcome to Numeralia.org, the home of the music project Numeralia from Austin, Texas.
The band’s sound is a mixture of progressive rock and gothically-inspired ethereal “shoe gazer” ambiance. Lately singer-songwriter Sheena Colbath Harden has been venturing into electronic terrain. Keeping the darkwave foundation, she is building soundscapes that are both dreamy and danceable.
Numeralia has so far released three full-length albums (Spiral, Deep Breath and Sun Catcher) and one EP (Not for Sale). The band has also appeared on the compilations Half-Gifts (a tribute to the Cocteau Twins), A Cat Shaped Hole in My Heart and The Black Bible. Numeralia was founded in 1996; the line up has changed over time but Sheena Colbath Harden has remained the core singer and songwriter.
What People are Saying
-
[Numeralia] needs to be signed to some label immediately. This band is easily good enough to stand beside anything Bedazzled or Projekt has ever released!

-
[Sheena’s] voice is excellent.

[Numeralia’s] dark musical sensibilities come like a refreshing desert wind. Sounding like an amalgam of Claire Voyant, early Love Spirals Downwards, Siddal, and The Shroud... All in all, the music of Numeralia is something fans of the melodic muses will appreciate and a disc from a band we should keep our eye and ear on.

[Numeralia] twists with delicately knitted emotions [and] treats generously with rich moods and melodies.
